...and travelling

The highlights of this expedition will be interspersed with travel periods. Of course, beside the great geographical richness of this route, the choice of this part of the world is not insignificant : discovering the steppes of central Asia on horseback and the Himalayan plateau on foot belong to those old dreams that keep haunting you until they come true!

The choice of the means of transportation will be closely related to the cultural and geographical context:

• the Transsiberian train will bring me up to the Baikal lake,
• the horse of course in Mongolia, possibly swapped for a camel,
• my feet will be my best asset across the Himalayas, with a packhorse to relieve my shoulders,
• a bicycle will enable me to ride along the Gange valley with its rhythm,
• finally, the boat will take over, on the Mekong river and to go home
